Bret Favre has yet to announce if he will come back for another season or not. I personally think he is ready to hang up the towel, spite throwing the NFC championship game away Sunday night. The last two times the Packers have gone to the NFC championship game, Favre threw an interception to end his year. The reason I think he will be done is because there is no more records for him to break. I know Favre loves the game, but you cant argue the point that he knew five years ago that he wasn’t the old Bret Favre, he was only old Bret Favre. He did have a great season this year, but will that last until he is fifty? His team cannot take the chances on him, in fact they should have taken their chances on their first round draft pick from three years ago. Because Favre refuses to retire, this kid has washed up by now, and the Packers can’t be too happy that they wasted a first round quarter back in Aaron Rogers, because Bret Favre decided not to retire at the last minute. I don’t like Favre at all, if you couldn’t tell. I am just so sick of people talking about him like hes supernatural. In fact I can’t even watch a Falcon, Raven game without halftime being all about Favre. I know it will only get worse when he retires, because he will get into commentating and things of that sort, and I’ll have to hear his stupid accent all day long when I am trying to watch the Lions get beat again. Bottom line, he is over rated. Just because you have one good year every five, doesn’t mean that you are still one of the best. I am sick of hearing people say that “Anything can happen when Favre’s on the field.” Anything can happen when Harrington’s on the field. Be gone Favre, I don’t want to see you pass for four hundred yards against the Lions next year and make everybody forget that Aaron Brooks threw for four hundred yards against the Lions. Enough ranting, Favre you better retire, I’m out.
