Another day, another 2 coaching updates.
Well, one more rumor put to rest. This one surrounding the Dallas Cowboy coaching staff. It started out a rumor that offensive coordinator Jason Garrett would take over Wade Phillips job as head coach. It then took a turn into the fact that other teams were looking into Garrett and maybe he wont even come back. After all the other interviews, Jones gave Garrett and contract extension, raise, and promotion to become the new assistant coach. Jason Garrett now makes almost as much as the head coach Wade Phillips, which doesn’t seem to bother him at all, he is just glad that Garrett is still around.
In other related news, the Cowboys lose a coach and the Dolphins gain a new Head Coach. Tony Sparano was the cowboys assistant coach last season, and Executive Vice President of Football Operations Bill Parcells, worked with him in Dallas. Parcells knew the coaching strategy of Sparano, and felt that it was a good fit in Miami. Lets just see if Sparano can get the Dolphins more than one win this year.
